An unchangeable
feature in the origin of our products.
The peanut plant is an oily plant originating
from South America and constitutes a highly valued source for the
production of vegetal oils. In Hernando, the peanut fruit is left
to dry overground naturally once the plant has been pulled out, what
helps to enhance the typical taste of the peanuts used by BELU for
its products. The difference is that due to the area's climatic characteristics,
these peanuts do not need to undergo mechanized drying processes.
Hernando - An ecological environment for the
best peanuts.
The city of Hemando is well-known in Argentina
as the "National Peanut Capital". Farmers in our region sow this crop
since 1940, and since then production of the same has become well-known
throughout the nation. Hemando is located in the worldwide known Argentine
pampas and 700 km. from Buenos Aires. Its 15,000 inhabitants are proud
of producing 95% of the Argentine peanuts, the region's main industry.
Since 1992, BELU elaborates from Hemando the best products with the
most famous Argentine peanuts.
